The Daily: Panthers Rally to Jolt Toronto; Korchinski Shines Again

Florida Panthers defenseman Gustav Forsling raked the Maple Leafs into a big hole Thursday night. The one-time Blackhawks defenseman buried the game winner, capping a stunning three-goal comeback that gives Florida a 2-0 lead in the series heading home.

Even more impressive how the Panthers have continued to give fits to the conference’s best teams. Knocking off the record breaking Bruins was one thing. But now the Panthers are heading back to Miami with a two-game lead and a pair of home games. The 26-year-old Forsling notched his second goal of the playoffs for the Panthers and none bigger than the game winner.

Korchinski Nets First Playoff Goal of the 2023 Playoffs

Kevin Korchinski continues his hot hand, notching his first goal of the 2023 WHL playoffs in Seattle’s 8-4 win Thursday night. The win puts Seattle one game away from the Final.

In other Blackhawks news, Netminder Drew Commesso also made the roster, one of a trio that will represent the Stars and Stripes. The Blackhawks 2020 second round pick recently inked his entry-level deal barely a month ago.  Anders Bjork was one of the forward selections for Team USA to play in the World Championships.
