The Daily: Pavelski Saves Stars While Panthers Wait

The Dallas Stars are still alive and kicking thanks to Joe Pavelski and Nick Robertson. The Vegas Golden Knights’ chance to sweep was thwarted by the Stars awakened offense and the series heads back for Game 5 on Saturday.

Vegas Hockey Now scribe Dan Kingerski points out that Vegas didn’t capitalize on its chances when they accrued, ultimately dooming them. Now the series heads back and is still commanding enough to be a five-game finish. Yet another Dallas win, this time on the road, would certainly shift some pressure Vegas’ way.

Regardless, it’s a good thing there will be hockey on Saturday.

Meanwhile Florida Waits

The schedule for the Stanley Cup Final was released and the Panthers won’t start until next Wednesday at the earliest. But if Vegas falls again, the Final won’t start until June 3, which will give Florida about a week and a half to recover.
