Blackhawks Daily: Stanley Cup Playoffs See Stars, Hurricanes Win
The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Saturday night with two more insanely close matchups. The second round is approaching the halfway point so things are getting good. The Carolina Hurricanes were on the brink as the New York Rangers were up 3-0 in the series. Carolina had many different leads during regulation but the Rangers found a way to tie it up and force overtime again in this series.
Carolina found a way to get it done in overtime and forced a game five thanks to an OT winner from Brady Skjei. The Canes are still in trouble but they won’t go down quietly.
Over in the west, that magnificent series between the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche took place for game three. With the series tied up at one, it shifted to Denver.
The game was tied at one at the halfway mark of the second period (game). Logan Stankoven and Mikko Rantanen exchanged goals.
At 15:43 of the second period, Tyler Seguin scored to put the Stars ahead. From there, the Stars took over on the scoreboard. Seguin and Stankoven each scored empty net goals late in the third to secure the victory.
It was another great day for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Blackhawks In Case You Missed It
The Chicago Blackhawks have a good player in Kevin Korchinski. He could be a star defenseman one day.
Kyle Davidson said that landing the second overall pick is a win for his Chicago Blackhawks team. Who are we to argue?
The Chicago Blackhawks also have the 20th overall pick. That could be traded up for an even better prospect in Cole Eiserman
