Blackhawks Daily: When the Past and the Future Collide

Published

on

It’s a couple of pretty significant memories for the Chicago Blackhawks today. The first?

That moment that led to the franchise’s fifth Stanley Cup was made possible by this one:

One can’t go without the other which introduces a week where the Stanley Cup Final ends on Monday and a new hope is ushered in for every team on Friday. The Blackhawks who last made a Cup Final in 2015, now stand to get their next big piece to return to the “golden” years that was the 2015-2015 stretch that came with three Stanley Cups.

This week will be devoted to who should be taken at #2 and then dissected over and over until free agency is ushered in. More importantly, being linked to every name under the sun in trades sure feels like Chicago is bound to pounce.

In what has been a lackluster baseball season in the city, the Blackhawks have a chance to really kick off the official summer by hitting a few home runs of their own.

How do previous drafts demystify things at #2 for the Blackhawks? A long look here.
