Blackhawks Daily: Familiar Faces Land in Dallas, Florida; 24-25 Schedule
The Chicago Blackhawks made a lot of signings over the last 48 hours. The depth of the team is much better than it was at the end of the 2023-24 season which saw them come in 31st place out of 31.
They aren’t going to be winning a Stanley Cup just yet but they are going to be much harder to play against as a result of all these signings. It is exciting right now for this team.
It hasn’t just been players walking in the door either. There are a few players who were on the team last year who will be moving on in free agency. MacKenzie Entwistle is headed to the Florida Panthers while Colin Blackwell is headed to the Dallas Stars.
Each of those teams was in the Conference Finals last year including Florida who ended up winning the Stanley Cup. We’ll see just how much they make an impact on their new teams.
It was a matter of whether there would be enough roster spots for everyone–but Monday’s moves slammed the door any of those remaining thoughts.
