Blackhawks Daily: Wrigley Field Will Be a Hockey Heaven in 2025

Published

on

The Chicago Blackhawks will be participating in the 2025f NHL Winter Classic. This game will take place at the home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field. Their opponent is going to be their long-time rival, the St. Louis Blues.

This is the second time that these two teams will meet in the Winter Classic. The last time was at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals, Busch Stadium. The Chicago-St. Louis rivalry in both baseball and hockey is strong and this is the next layer of it.

This big matchup won’t be the only event to be featured at “The Friendly Confines” either. Earlier this week, it was announced that some college hockey will also be played on that sheet of ice.

On January 3rd, Penn State is going to take on Notre Dame (men’s). Later that day, Ohio State is going to take on Michigan (men’s). One day later on January 4th, Ohio State is going to take on Wisconsin (women’s). Then, Wisconsin is going to take on Michigan State (men’s).

Having all of that Big Ten Hockey being played at Wrigley Field is going to be massive for college hockey. The game at the college level is truly spectacular and many Midwest fans will see it at the highest level. This was a great move by the powers that be.

In addition to this great news, there are plenty of other wonderful stories around National Hockey Now that need to be checked out:
