While September can be a quiet time around the NHL, their has been plenty of news around the league the past few days, including with the Chicago Blackhawks.

On Sept. 4, former Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik signed a 1-year contract with HC Ambrì Piotta in Switzerland. Kubalik signed with the Hawks in 2019 and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy in his rookie season.
In his first year pro, Kubalik registered 46 points, scoring 30 goals in 68 games. The 29-year-old forward played for five years in the NHL, most recently with the Ottawa Senators last season where he put up 15 points in 74 games.

The NHL Players’ Association held the 14th annual NHLPA Rookie Showcase on Sept. 4. Chicago had two players in attendance in Artyom Levshunov and Frank Nazar.
It is still undecided whether or not Levshunov or Nazar will make Chicago’s roster this fall, but the organization definitely expects both prospects to factor into the future of the team.
Additionally, Utah Hockey Club announced their broadcast team yesterday. The team announced the inaugural broadcast will feature Matt McConnell as the play-by-play announcer. Additionally Kim Becker will work as the studio host, Sarah Merrifield as rinkside reporter and Dominic Moore and Nick Olczyk as analysts.
In Chicago’s broadcast booth, the Blackhawks announced this June that Rick Ball would join Chicago’s broadcast booth alongside Darren Pang next season.
