Early September is starting to fly by which means Chicago Blackhawks hockey will be here before we know it.
The Blackhawks are entering the 2024-25 NHL Season with reasons for optimism. The offseason brought big additions by Kyle Davidson and now the lineup is deeper and more capable to compete across an 82 game NHL season.
One big thing for Blackhawks fans this morning has to be the start of single-game tickets going on sale to the general public.
The Blackhawks are scheduled to host 21 weekend games this season, including six on Friday night and five on Saturday. With that in mind, fans might be starting to look at their calendar to circle their must watch games for the season.
With the Winter Classic in Chicago, Hawks fans will have plenty of opportunities to see their team in action.
A couple standout games has to be the home opener on Oct. 17 when the San Jose Sharks will come to town. This will be the first opportunity to see Bedard face Macklin Celebrini. Celebrini and Bedard could form a nice rivalry in the years to come.
On Nov. 6, the Detroit Red Wings head to Chicago, giving Blackhawks fans another opportunity to see Patrick Kane faceoff against his old club. Additionally on Nov. 21 the defending Stanley Cup Champs in Florida come to the Windy City.
There are definitely a lot of big matchups to get excited about.
