Blackhawks Daily: Prospect Showcase, Commesso Offseason
The Chicago Blackhawks play hockey tonight. While it might be a prospect showcase, having hockey back on will be exciting for all fans. Across the NHL, a number of prospect showcases are bringing teams together to see how each teams top young players matchup.
In Buffalo, the 2024 Prospects Challenge unites the Bruins, Sabres, Devils, Senators and Penguins for a weekend of action. In Los Angeles, the 2024 NHL Rookie Faceoff features the Ducks, Avalanche, Kings, Sharks, Kraken, Utah Hockey Club, and Golden Knights. Other prospect showcases will be held in Nashville, in Pennsylvania, in Michigan and across Canada.
The St. Louis Blues will host the 2024 Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase. The Hawks and Blues face off tonight at 7 p.m. Zack Bolduc is the undeniable player to keep an eye on from the Blues roster. The Blues drafted Bolduc 17th overall during the 2021 NHL Draft. Last season he made his NHL debut playing in 25 games scoring five goals and registering nine points during that time. Bolduc enters training camp with a lot to prove, the prospect showcase is the first chance to see him in action.
One Blackhawk to watch tonight will be Drew Commesso. Commesso trained with Jeremy Swayman in Boston this summer. Should be interesting to see how he performs at the showcase.
