Blackhawks Daily: Off Day In Chicago; NHL Preseason Underway

Published

on

The Chicago Blackhawks were away from the ice on Sunday with a scheduled off day. While every Hawk probably wasn’t staying home to watch football, you’d like to think that a few of the players did indeed do just that.

After a week of good practice, some highlight reel stuff from certain players, and Connor Bedard appearing to already be in mid-season form, it was a well-earned off-day for the team.

Luke Richardson’s team is going to have the preseason start up soon which will be an opportunity to see some of these guys in real game action. Playing against teammates in practice is great but nothing beats real resistance from people who aren’t your teammates.

The team has already stated that certain fringe guys are going to get five or six preseason games to try and earn a spot. Healthy competition is the best thing for this young organization.

The preseason is already underway for quite a few teams in the NHL after this weekend. A few teams have played and we can officially say that the exhibition season is fully underway. Around the network, there are a lot of good stories covering what’s been going on.
