Chicago Blackhawks
Where Connor Bedard ranks amongst U25 players in EA Sports NHL 25
The Chicago Blackhawks don’t have any players cracking the top ten position players in EA Sports NHL 25, unlike the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, or New York Rangers with multiple positions at the top of the list.
That will come in time for the Blackhawks, as they continue to develop their young players the right way. The leader of them all is 2023 first overall NHL draft pick Connor Bedard who did make one list.
Of every player in NHL 25 under the age of 25, Bedard has the sixth highest overall in the game – only Jack Hughes of the Devils, Rasmus Dahlin of the Buffalo Sabres, Noah Dobson of the New York Islanders, Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond of the Detroit Red Wings are higher. That is some good company to keep.
Right behind him on the list are Andrei Svechnikov of the Carolina Hurricanes, Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens, Tim Stutzle of the Ottawa Senators, and Brock Faber of the Minnesota Wild. All of these guys are incredibly important stars to their teams.

Connor Bedard represents the Chicago Blackhawks well in NHL 25
Of all the players in the top six, Bedard is the youngest by far. He and Brock Faber are the only two in the top ten who were rookies in 2023-24 but Bedard was the youngest player in the league. That 88 overall rating that EA Sports gave him is very special following just one season of good play at 18 years old. Now, at 19, everyone expects him to explode even more.
It won’t be long before Bedard is on the list of top-ten overall players in the game. The fact that he’d already an 88 overall entering NHL 25 speaks volumes about his play. Within the next few seasons, he is going to be in the mid-90s which is as good as it gets.
The NHL has a ton of young stars to feature in the video game but Connor Bedard is on another level. After the 2024-25 season is over, don’t be surprised if he starts getting cover athlete hype. Anything is possible on that front.
NHL 25 comes out on Oct. 4. You will be able to use the Chicago Blackhawks more frequently this time around knowing that they have a legit player in their top six to be excited about.
One of the things that will make Bedard so special in this video game is his wrist shot power rating. They have him a 94 on wrist shot power which is third in the league only behind Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs and David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins. If he starts scoring goals at their pace, we’ll be talking about one of the best players in the league.
As for the rest of the team, the Hawks have a few players to be excited about in the game. Seth Jones is their second-highest-rated player at 87, then Teuvo Teravainen with 86 and Taylor Hall at 85. Phillip Kurashev and Tyler Bertuzzi round out the top six at 84.
