Chicago Blackhawks end of the 2023-24 NHL Season

The Chicago Blackhawks 2024-25 NHL Season is one week old – they grow up so fast. Over the past week, the Blackhawks have done it all. Quite literally, Chicago has done it all, winning a game, losing in regulation and losing in overtime. The Blackhawks are 1-1-1, and with the preseason the team had, that is a success.

Tonight will be the last game of the Blackhawks road trip before finally heading home for the home opener on Thursday. Matchup up with the undefeated Calgary Flames should prove to be a tough task for the Hawks, but through three preseason games they have battled night in and night out.

After facing the Flames, Chicago will travel back to the Windy City for a five game homestand. While long road trips come with challenges, for Chicago entering the year with four road games may have been a blessing. This is a different roster from last year and starting out with four games on the road gives more time for players to gel and feel things out as a team.

Scorebugs from around the NHL

With the NHL and NBA Seasons kicking off and Chicago sports finding a new home on the Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), much discussion has been made about the lack of options for fans. As a YouTube Tv user myself, the new network launch has caused a headache personally as I navigate using an antenna or switching providers.

Today, I want to talk about a different aspect of CHSN though. Here is a look at every NHL scorebug for the season, including Chicago Sports Network.

I feel that CHSN definitely fits the mold of what other networks are doing with their scorebug. Even from the preseason to the regular season the broadcast and presentation have improved dramatically as the new network gets its grounding. I will admit out of all these scorebugs I think my favorite may have to be NHL Network, but ESPN’s is always a classic.

Chicago Blackhawks

When you look at the Blackhawks first three games, the first win coming against the Edmonton Oilers was not something I expected. Chicago very well could have won against Utah and should have won against Winnipeg. Chicago has looked ready to go, and hopefully the team gives fans a nice show on Thursday.

National Hockey Now

The San Jose Sharks losing Macklin Celebrini is a major loss. With a matchup upcoming in Chicago, Celebrini’s status is definitely something to keep an eye on. If the two teams faceoff without Celebrini in the lineup the next opportunity for Celebrini vs Bedard will come on Oct. 31.
