The Chicago Blackhawks have a number of top prospects tearing things up in the minor leagues. When things get tough and injuries create holes in the lineup, the Blackhawks have to have some young guys to turn to this season, so let’s talk about a few different Blackhawks prospects who could find their way to Chicago.

Three Blackhawks prospects who could spend some time in the NHL this season.

Frank Nazar will find his way to Chicago, it is just a matter of when. After not grabbing the bull by the horn during preseason, Nazar was sent to Rockford to begin the year, and the results have started to show up.

Nazar has three goals and four assists through seven games. That is a point per game pace for the 20 year old forward. Nazar, drafted in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, seems like a logical first call up for the year, assuming he continues to build his confidence in Rockford.

Should the Blackhawks continue to struggle to find a second line center, Nazar might be a logical option at some point within the next few months if he continues to produce in Rockford.

Adding Nazar to the lineup also can make the Blackhawks deeper. This is what the forward lines could look like with Nazar.

Kurashev – Bedard – Teravainen
Hall – Nazar – Bertuzzi
Mikheyev – Dickinson – Foligno
Donato – Reichel – Smith

Colton Dach should make his NHL Debut this season. Drafted 62nd overall in 2021, Dach has worked hard the last few years trying to make the Hawks NHL roster. Despite plenty of young players getting called up last season, Dach didn’t get the opportunity and this year he failed to make the team out of training camp.

Dach has six points including three goals in the IceHogs first seven games. He seems like another early option for Kyle Davidson to add to the roster should injuries arise. Dach seems likes someone who could shine on a bottom sick role in Chicago. Personally, I would like to see him with Dickinson and Mikheyev.

A few weeks ago, the Blackhawks activated Artyom Levshunov and sent him to Rockford to help get his game going after missing time with a right foot injury.

Levshunov, drafted second overall this summer, arguably might have made the Blackhawks roster out of training camp if it wasn’t for his injury, and he seems like a good pick to find his way back to Chicago this season.

The Blackhawks blue line is crowded, and there is definitely no rush to get Levshunov to the NHL, but Blackhawks fans should watch Levshunov make his NHL debut this season.
