The Chicago Blackhawks will welcome a familiar face back home on Wednesday night. Patrick Kane will once again play at the United Center.

While nothing will beat the excitement and energy that was Kane’s homecoming last February, tomorrow night’s game will definitely be one to circle on the calendar — get those antennas ready.

If after a month of hockey you were to tell me that Ryan Donato would be leading the Blackhawks in scoring, I would have thought you were crazy. Yet here we are. Donato is leading the pack with seven goals (three more then the next closest Hawk.) Later today, we will take a deeper look at what has set Donato apart.

Blackhawks stories you may have missed:

  • The Chicago Blackhawks are 5-7-1, having won their last two games. The Hawks are in the thick of things early this year, trying to prove last year’s struggles can be a thing of the past. With the start of the new seasons, fans of the team vented their frustrations.
  • The Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings faceoff on Wednesday night. With the game, former Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane will make his second stop at the United Center as part of the road squad. Last year’s game was one for the history books, and one that also could have been avoided.
  • Relive Kane’s return to the United Center last year with this video. Maybe Connor Bedard and company can exact revenge after Kane’s OT winner last year.
