Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars

The Chicago Blackhawks have an opportunity to answer to a bad loss yesterday. Tonight, the Hawks return to Dallas for another matchup with the Dallas Stars.

On Oct. 23, the Blackhawks lost 4-2, with Dallas outplaying the Hawks all night. For Chicago, that was one of their worst games all season, and since they have answered with three wins out of five games. A win tonight would definitely boost morale.

Extras: Anderson, Athanasiou, Brodie

Notes:

Before the game, Luke Richardson indicated the Blackhawks are hoping to see Reichel with Bedard more tonight.

With that in mind, the Blackhawks will most likely be shaking things up in the lines. Getting Bedard back together with Reichel is a good thing for the Hawks. Reichel has really taken advantage of his opportunity with the Hawks since being scratched to start the season, this could be a big chance to solidify himself as a top six player tonight.

Keys to Success:

The Hawks defensive showing against Detroit was not great. The Red Wings had plenty of scoring chances and odd man rushes to capitalize on. Going into tonight’s game, look for a more defensive game for the Hawks.

Players to Watch:

With Petr Mrazek playing last night, Arvid Soderblom should be getting an opportunity tonight before Laurent Brossoit’s return. Soderblom had his best game of the season in Anaheim, let’s see how he looks against a much better team in Dallas.
