The Chicago Blackhawks have a quick turnaround after their sixth-straight loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. They are back at the United to conclude their two-game season series with the Philadelphia Flyers. Back in November, Pat Maroon and Lukas Reichel scored in a 3-2 overtime loss in Philadelphia.

The Blackhawks have points in five of their last six games against the Flyers. Tyler Bertuzzi has three goals and 10 points in his previous six games versus Philadelphia. Spencer Knight will start in goal this afternoon. This will be his second career start against the Flyers. He gave up five goals on 34 shots in a 7-5 win with the Florida Panthers earlier this season.

Interim head coach Anders Sorensen confirmed that defenseman Alec Martinez and forward Jason Dickinson will miss today’s game. He didn’t have any further information on the extent of their injuries, just that they were still being evaluated. Philipp Kurashev and Louis Crevier will take their spots on the lineup.

Today will be the second meeting between Connor Bedard and Matvei Michkov, two of the most talented players from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Michkov scored the overtime winner in the first meeting of the season.

The Flyers are coming off an overtime loss to the Dallas Stars yesterday, so both teams had to travel to get here today. In the loss, Travis Konecny, Philadelphia’s leading scorer, snapped his 13-game goal drought.
