  • Lukas Reichel stayed hot at the IIHF World Championship on Tuesday. He picked up an assist in Germany’s 5-2 win over Norway. Reichel has a goal and four points in three tournament games.
  • Many Blackhawks fans feel that general manager Kyle Davidson should weaponize offer sheets this summer. Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet shared what the offer sheet thresholds will be. Reminder: You must use your own draft picks as compensation; they cannot be picks acquired in a trade.
  • The United Center will offer new premium seating options for the 2025-26 season.
  • On this date in 1985, the Edmonton Oilers beat the Blackhawks 10-5 in Game 5 of the Campbell Conference Final. Hall of Famer Paul Coffey scored a goal and recorded five assists for the first six-point game by a defenseman in Stanley Cup Playoffs history.

NHL Chirps

  • Per George Richards of Florida Hockey Now, the NHL has suspended Panthers minor owner Doug Cifu for “unacceptable and inappropriate” social media posts.
  • CHEK News’ Rick Dhaliwal reports that the Vancouver Canucks’ next head coach will be either Manny Malhotra or Adam Foote. Neither of which was on the Blackhawks’ radar. Malhotra is the head coach of the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks, while Foote was an assistant on Tocchet’s staff.
  • Helen St. Hames of the Detroit Free Press confirmed that Ken Holland has accepted the Los Angeles Kings’ general manager job. Have fun with another retread.
  • The Oilers are one victory away from their second straight trip to the Western Conference Finals. According to Derek Van Diest of NHL.com, defenseman Mattias Ekholm could be available if they make it there.
  • The Dallas Stars and their “Finnish Mafia” are up 3-1 on the Winnipeg Jets after beating them 3-1 on Tuesday. Mikael Granlund was the hero, scoring all three Stars’ goals. Defenseman Miro Heiskanen played his first game since suffering a knee injury on Jan. 28. He had the primary assist on Granlund’s third goal. Seven of the 10 Dallas goals in this series have been scored by a Finnish player.
