Jack’s Daily: Knight’s Push For Team USA; West’s USHL Season Debut
Wednesday’s 3-0 win over the New York Rangers was arguably the most complete team effort by the Chicago Blackhawks so far this season. The defense held New York to only 21 shots on goal, tying the fewest conceded by the Blackhawks in a single game in 2025-26. After a 7-1 drubbing from the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, it was quite the turnaround defensively.
Spencer Knight didn’t have the most active contest in goal, but he still outdueled Igor Shesterkin to record his second shutout of the year. Knight also helped his case for Team USA’s Olympic roster, blanking the Rangers and their head coach, Mike Sullivan, who’s also the bench boss for the Americans in Milan this February. More in the links for Knight’s current chances of making the trip to Italy.
Also in Blackhawks news, 2025 first-round pick Mason West played his first game of the USHL season with the Fargo Force on Thursday.
Around the league, Jacob Fowler had a sensational NHL debut for the Canadians, Steven Stamkos scored four goals in a blowout win over the Blues, and a brutal update on Mammoth forward Logan Cooley.
All that & more in the Daily!
