Jack’s Daily: Bedard Looks Sharp; Frondell Nets Another; Schaefer Makes History
In their first game in 22 days, the Chicago Blackhawks looked just about the same as they did heading into the Olympic break. Connor Bedard appeared extra motivated after getting snubbed from Canada’s Olympic roster, but too many other players on the roster had subpar outings and didn’t look ready to return after having the last three weeks off.
More in the links for the recap from the Blackhawks’ frustrating 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators, where sloppy puck play and power-play woes continued to bite them. That’s now 10 losses in 13 games, dating back to Jan. 12.
Also in Blackhawks news, Anton Frondell added to his team lead in goals as the SHL regular season is nearing its close.
Around the league, Matthew Schaefer made more history for the Islanders, big names on the Blues are set to be traded, and Matvei Michkov steers the Flyers to an overtime win.
All that & more in the Daily!
