The Daily: Coyotes Lose Crucial Vote; Thunderbirds Up 2-1

Published

on

The Arizona Coyotes may not have been on the ice, but it lost badly Tuesday night. A vote by Tempe citizens didn’t go the Coyotes as way, as propositions 301, 302, and 303 were resoundingly voted down. This puts the organization in peril as it rejected a chance for the Coyotes to build a brand new arena in Tempe.

This goes beyond hockey as an entire organization could be uprooted and moved to another location. Beyond hockey, lives will be impacted for those that work for the organization.

Perhaps the NHL and the Coyotes will find a way to stay in the Desert.

Thunderbirds Take 2-1 Lead in WHL Final

The trio of Chicago Blackhawks prospects are a step closer to the Memorial Cup, and all three played a role in the win. Colton Dach had two assists, while Kevin Korchinski and Nolan Allan each chipped in one of their own as Seattle downed Winnipeg 6-3 in Game 3.  The Thunderbirds were paced by a three-goal outburst in just 45 seconds in the first period.

Seattle plays again tonight with a chance to put a stranglehold on the series.
