The Daily: 2023 Stanley Cup Final Preview

Published

on

The 2023 Stanley Cup Final faces off tonight between the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights and not many, sans the most diehard Panthers fan, had Florida in the Final. When the series concludes, it will result in the first Stanley Cup title for either franchise, The Hockey Now Network has been covering it through the preceding three rounds. There isn’t a shortage of stories off the ice, either.

Florida Hockey Now’s George Richards wrote about the mystery of the postgame dog bone being solved while Vegas Hockey Now’s Dan Kingerski included the “cheeky” story of a Vegas club offering free lap dances for the players should the Golden Knights come out on top in the Stanley Cup Final.

There won’t be any shortage of action between the two upstarts. The Panthers seem destined, and have since upsetting the Boston Bruins following their rally from a 3-1 deficit. But Jack Eichel has been the player everyone imagined he would be when he was taken second overall in 2015 by Buffalo. Matt Tkachuk vs Jack Eichel has a chance to be must watch TV.

My final pick?

Look for Florida to take the Stanley Cup to South Beach after six games.
