Blackhawks Daily: Historically Bad Sharks; Goal Scoring Goal Setting

Published

on

If Chicago Blackhawks fans are ever feeling bad about their season, they can turn their gaze to the West Coast and feel much better about things.

The Sharks have ten games under their belt and haven’t won a single one. Worse, they’re not finding any momentum in those losses. What to do for a team losing at such a clip? Pray and hope for the lottery to fall in their favor due to such misery.

On the other side of the country, the Pittsburgh Penguins are doing some major introspection as they sputter out of the gates. They take on the Sharks tonight but face their own questions as they are potentially seeing their contention window closing faster than they’d like.

It’s a moment of pause for Blackhawks fans to see the life cycle unfold before them. The once mighty Penguins, built on the backs of the generational Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, now crumbling similarly as the Blackhawks did a few seasons ago. The Sharks? Always so close but just so far.

The 3-6 start has certainly featured its fair share of frustration–but boy could it be much worse.
