Blackhawks Daily: Jordan Kyrou Clarifies Comments

Published

on

One of the minor little kerfuffles that emerged out of the firing of Craig Berube was Jordan Kyrou and his comments that seemed nonchalant and dismissive of the removal.

That was looked at differently following Kyrou’s booing at the hands of his own fans.

The hardest part of modern media is properly conveying what is being said while trying to get it to the masses as quick as possible. Sometimes it gets lost in translation and well, social media isn’t exactly the bellwether of rational thinking.

But I watched it a few time and Kyrou had to catch himself due to the emotion in his answer. Yeah, they’re human and I’ve been guilty of forgetting that, too. Berube will be beloved because he helped delver a Stanley Cup to St. Louis. But something got lost in translation there, and Jordan Kyrou definitely went out of his way to show he was sincere.

Meanwhile, with a roster freeze looming for the NHL in less than a week and the holidays around the corner, some teams need to ask Santa for some help. The Boston Bruins might want to look for a center, something they’ve been after for some time. The Montreal Canadiens could play Santa for some teams with a few players to deal for the right assets. The Detroit Red Wings desperately need to get some help with injuries–and perhaps maybe even goaltending after a stinker of a mistake from Ville Husso that cost them? What about a retro story of when Santa delivered a gift back to the Florida Panthers?

With the holidays coming up, keep an eye not only on what Santa could deliver but maybe a few treats later.
