The Daily: Ottawa’s Hopes for New DeBrincat Deal; Panthers Win
Ottawa Senators fans had fun with social media as they tweeted and shared their hope that an eight-year extension will be in the cards for the Sens. Alex DeBrincat holds so much intrigue because of the reports of discord between the Senators and him. Blackhawks fans need no introduction as he was a fan favorite during his tenure in Chicago.
Senators fans, though, “celebrated” DeBrincat’s son Archie’s birthday by turning it into humorous takes on DeBrincat’s contract status.
Alex DeBrincat’s wife posted a heart on her birthday post for her son Archie. The Ottawa city limits seem to draw out a very similar shape. It’s been in front of us this whole time. He’s staying for life. #Sens #GoSensGo pic.twitter.com/FOWckUd5O0

Goes without saying that Ottawa would like him back.
Panthers Outlast Hurricanes in 4OT
It sure looked like it would go for a fifth overtime, but Matthew Tkachuk just wanted to end it and get off the ice. Tkachuk buried the game-winner in the dying seconds of the fourth overtime, and then pointed to the exits as he led his team off the ice. The Panthers win again in impressive fashion, and it’s tough to not believe that the Panthers are the real deal.
