The Daily: NHL Trade Rumors Swirl As August Approaches

Published

on

Remember the thought that maybe Jake DeBrusk could be a fit in Chicago if the Blackhawks were interested? It appears the DeBrusk speculation will die down anytime soon. Now an NHL source tells Boston Hockey Now’s Jimmy Murphy that DeBrusk could be had for one player in particular. The NHL trade rumors refuse to stop as August approaches.

The Calgary Flames’ Elias Lindholm could be sent to Boston if they’re willing to part with DeBrusk Murphy reports. While a source hasn’t said that general manager Don Sweeney has reached out to Craig Conroy, it was a source from a hockey operations position that offered up what it would take to get done.

NHL trade rumors continue to sizzle and it appears that DeBrusk at some point may find himself in the middle of a deal.

Blackhawks In Case You Missed It

  • Logan Cooley signed his entry-level deal with the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday. While he won’t play as a teammate with Blackhawks prospects Oliver Moore and Sam Rinzel, he will now have an epic rookie matchup with Connor Bedard this season.
  • Nick Lardis may turn out to be an absolute steal for the Chicago Blackhawks–another wing the team could have to flank so many of the centers in the system.
