Blackhawks Notebook: Friday Sees Connor Bedard in Full Hawks Gear

Published

on

It’s still some time for Chicago Blackhawks fans to see Connor Bedard and the team on full display. Well, thanks to the fine people at Sherwood hockey, now you get a glimpse of Bedard in all his Blackhawks glory:

It was comical when those outside of Chicago commented on how he would refuse to play for the Blackhawks or that he would demand a trade upon being drafted. No matter how much conventional wisdom could come into play, there were those still convinced something would alter the possibility of Bedard to Chicago.

Looks like he indeed, is all in with the Hawks.

It’s also another step forward for those hockey starved fans looking for anything to get them through August.

Bedard was also featured in a tweet from the Power Edge Pro camp partaking in drills:

Everything is coming up Bedard on Friday.

Don’t Miss CHN’s Top Ten Blackhawks Prospects Ranking

For the last week, CHN has ranked the top nine (so far) prospects in the Blackhawks system. Here’s a look at where they stand:

Tomorrow will feature #10 and then one final piece on Sunday for a handful of honorable mentions.

Finally for Fun…

Over at Bleacher Nation, Tab Bamford put together a former Blackhawks legends game where you select your lineup together with Hawks of the past. You’ve got $20. Bernie Nicholls was always a favorite of mine, and I’m definitely going with Ted Lindsay, two value picks there at $3. My splurge would be Bobby Orr and Dominik Hasek, who though Eddie Belfour was a legend of his own, the Dominator was simply electric. I wanted to go with Fleury but went with Peter Bondra, hardly a consolation prize. That extra buck goes to Dave Manson, who along with Terrible Ted, makes sure no one is getting run on the ice.

Lineup:  G: Hasek; D: Orr; D: Manson; LW: Lindsay; C: Nicholls; RW: Bondra

Give it a shot–certainly fun.
