Blackhawks – Red Wings Preseason Game #3: Need To Know Info

No Alex DeBrincat but Connor Bedard in for second preseason game

The Chicago Blackhawks play their second game in as many nights as they take on their rival Detroit Red Wings tonight at 6pm. It’s the last away game until next Saturday as the Blackhawks are set for two home games on Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Tonight’s Roster Highlights

Connor Bedard takes his game onto the Motor City where he’ll be taking on a roster similar to Thursday’s against the St. Louis Blues. The Red Wings will only be playing a handful of their sure fire starters in the game, but there will be a number of younger players who are fighting for their respective spot on the lineup card. Drew Commesso will again get some time in the net while Ethan Del Mastro will see his second consecutive game. Bedard will center a line with former Red Wing Andreas Athanasiou and Taylor Raddysh.

Blackhawks – Red Wings Look Back

The Red Wings are 2-1 in the preseason and last year split the season series with the Hawks. Former Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat will not be playing in the game so the chance to see him suit for the dreaded Red Wings will have to wait.

A better result than last night. It wasn’t that they lost as much as the gruesome injury for Samuel Savoie that changed the complexion of things. The Blackhawks will be looking to be competitive while also staying healthy once the final horn sounds.
