Blackhawks Game Day
Blackhawks Gameday #24: Switching Things Up
The Blackhawks (7-16) have their second game in a row with another afternoon tilt, this time with the Nashville Predators (12-12). Puck drop is at 7:30pm.
Previously on Blackhawks Hockey:
A third straight loss with only a goal again–for the third straight time. The Blackhawks fell to the Minnesota Wild 4-1 and continue what has been a tough 2-8 stretch in their last ten games.
And now, a bit on the Predators
The last time the Predators and Blackhawks faced off, the Predators kicked off their six-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory over Chicago. They’re now at .500 and fresh off a win.

Miscellaneous Musings
At this point, they’re looking for anything that will get them into some winning momentum. The last victory a week ago over the Seattle Kraken feels like forever ago. With a trio of losses that featured just one goal for in each, the Hawks have to keep finding a way.
Best Case/Worst Case/Final Verdict
Best Case – They have the type of game they had against Seattle–a push back effor that leads to victory.
Worst Case – They struggle again to score goals, and the frustration settles into the fourth straight loss.
Final Verdict – Lukas Reichel is back and on the fourth line after being a healthy scratch against Minnesota. The Blackhawks need some energy and why not try to find it from the bottom six? Keep an eye on Ryan Donato, Jason Dickinson, and Tyler Johnson, all of whom have been buzzing around and not only creating chances, but finding ways to get goals or at least assist on them.
Frustration is pressing down for sure–nothing like a four-game homestand to wake everyone up a bit.
