Blackhawks Game Day
Blackhawks at Stars: Date, Time, Channel, Notes, Predictions
It’s a quick turnaround for the Blackhawks. After losing to the Nashville Predators at home last night, now they are off to Dallas to start a lengthy road trip.
The Chicago Blackhawks visit the Dallas Stars to start a five game road trip.
The Dallas Stars are 6-2-0 on the year. They enter tonight’s game well rested, with their last matchup being on Thursday against Boston. Dallas is in a drastically different position then the Blackhawks. The Stars are looking to get back into the playoffs and potentially compete for the Stanley Cup when all is said and done.
The Stars are a much deeper team even compared to the Predators, so let’s dive in with the report on the Stars.
Dallas Stars Leaders:
Points: Matt Duchene (9)
Goals: Matt Duchene (4)
Assists: Logan Stankoven (7)
Shots: Jason Robertson (22)
TOI: Miro Heiskanen (22:51)
2023-24 Results vs Dallas
12/29/23 5-4 OT, L American Airlines Center
12/31/23 8-1, L American Airlines Center
1/13/24 3-1, L United Center
4/6/24 3-2, W United Center
The Blackhawks might have gotten the last laugh on the Stars, but it was all Dallas last season. Chicago needs to start this road trip on the right note – especially after three straight losses at home. It all starts tonight against the Stars.
Notes for the Blackhawks:
After starting on time but still losing to the Predators, a bad losing streak can get even worse tonight if the Hawks don’t show up against Dallas. This is a big test for the Hawks, and it will be interesting to see how the team responds in back to back days. The last double header saw the Blackhawks shock the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Oct. 12.
Prediction for tonight’s Blackhawks game:
Teuvo Teravainen had a couple of grade A scoring chances last night and had a goal taken off the board due to an offsides review. Tonight he gets on the board scoring a goal on the power play.
Blackhawk to watch:
Lukas Reichel has seen his ice time improve almost every game he has played in. Richardson spoke highly of Reichel following the loss last night. Keep an eye on his ice time and utilization tonight – could the Hawks make the decision to push Foligno down in the lineup and give Reichel another chance in the top six?
