The Daily: Camp Wraps; Blackhawks Injury Updates

The Chicago Blackhawks are like every other team fighting off injuries all season long.  But it’s already started in training camp with Taylor Hall being one of the wounded Hawks. The San Jose Sharks are dealing with it, too, seeing Logan Couture getting week-to-week status. How about the Detroit Red Wings, without Carter Mazur who had a breakout season last year and now is on the mend.

An update on Tyler Bertuzzi, who after a trade from Detroit,  bolted Boston for Toronto and certainly puts an interesting spin on divisional rivalries.

Camp is underway and it’s exciting knowing that hockey will be around now for another nine months. When you think of it, the lifespan of a season in sports is akin to what we experience with the seasons and even real life itself. The pure excitement of a new start brings optimism and hope, no matter the circumstances.

What a fun season it will be covering hockey.
