Blackhawks Daily: Are the Oilers Looking to Deal?
It’s pretty obvious which trade rumors are swirling, but since there’s nothing concrete in the Blackhawks camp, let’s look at what the national guys are saying.
TSN’s Darren Dreger and Chris Johnston insist that the Edmonton Oilers are looking to solve its issues internally, but well, who really knows. Ken Holland’s seat is scorching as the Oilers continue to find new and more cruel ways to depress their fanbase.
Oilers Nation believes that Edmonton has no choice but to make a deal.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman stays away from the speculation with Corey Perry but he does weigh in that the Oilers need to scour trades, but at the same time, protect that first-round pick, making it conditional if indeed it’s included in a trade. Further–does Jack Campbell stay or go? Friedman also talks about Connor McDavid and what his psyche might be right now.
So that brings us back to the Blackhawks. It’s silent, outside of how there’s no further comment about commenting. Maybe there’s movement today? Tomorrow? It’s home games today, Sunday and Tuesday so by then something will be resolved.
Right? The Blackhawks have the Maple Leafs this afternoon.
